September 12, 2026. Strength to Strength Sisters welcomed Patty Miller to discuss the behind-the-scenes experience of one who supports others’ ministries. Serving from behind—what does that mean in today’s world of women’s rights and strident individualism? A woman of God has value and merit in the eyes of God regardless of her place in society or degree of visibility. Instead of oppressing women, Christianity gave women freedom and dignity that was unknown in the culture of the day. This responsibility comes with instructions on how to use this strength in a Christlike way, from a specific position in relation to Christ, His Church, and the men who are our authority. When we occupy that position in its fullness, we find peace, joy, and fulfillment. The speaker will share biblical examples and personal experiences of serving God from behind.
